blog help

  • Unknown's avatar

Everytime I post a new blog post, an email is sent out to my subscribers. In their inbox it is received from ‘wordpress.com’ and I need that changed.
The last support representative I spoke to said that it was all taken care of, but nothing changed.

    More Details:
the email sender (to my subscribers) comes in as “wordpress.com <(email visible only to moderators and staff)>”
I want to change it to be MY website and email address.

    My domain is: inadamsshoes.com

  • Hi there!

The last support representative I spoke to said that it was all taken care of, but nothing changed.

Hmm, I’m not sure who did you speak to, I can only see one more forum post from you but you never replied to that one and it seemed to be about a different issue.

the email sender (to my subscribers) comes in as “wordpress.com <(email visible only to moderators and staff)>”

I’m afraid this can’t be changed. As an alternative, you may think of creating a newsletter for your site, for example with MailChimp.

Since your site is not hosted with WordPress.com (it is a site using the open-source WordPress software but hosted with Bluehost), you’ll want to look for more help at the community forums here: https://wordpress.org/support/forums/ or here: https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/jetpack

Because WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two entirely separate entities, we cannot access files or data for sites that are hosted elsewhere, so WordPress.com staff can only assist with sites that are hosted on our servers. You can read more about the differences between WordPress.org software and WordPress.com here:

    WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org

http://wordpress.org/support/ is also a great resource for sites using the open-source WordPress.org software.
