Blog Image vs. Gravatar
-
I have two blogs: MrsPadilly.com and PadillysMeltingPot. I have a blog image for both blogs. MrsPadilly.com uses the same image as my Gravatar. PadillysMeltingPot does not.
These two blogs have very different subject matter, and when I “like” a post, of course it always shows my Gravatar (which is the MrsPadilly one). When I comment, I don’t always remember to switch from MrsPadilly.com to PadillysMeltingPot.com, and this is causing confusion. I can tell that some blogs think I am a new visitor. Is there any way for the Blog Image I have for each blog to show up depending on which blog I am working from? If so, I can’t figure it out. If not, oh well…
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You can have a single Gravatars/Aavatar image for a single WordPress.com/Gravatar username account, regardless of how many blogs are registered under that same WordPress.com account. Are you clear on that?
-
You can link your username to only a single primary blog, regardless of how many blogs are registered under the same username account. If you want to be able to have two different Gravatars/Avatars and two different primary blogs then you will need to disassociate the two you have now. See: Separate Username Accounts – Separate Blogs

Yes I am clear on the Gravatar/Avatar issue, and that avatar is also the same for one of my blogs.
I guess I could have avoided this by creating my blogs using two user accounts, which I assumed was going to be the fix, but it never hurts to ask. I can see by your comment, that it is the case.
Unfortunately, I also manage two other blogs, so having them under one user account works best for me. Guess I’ll just have to deal with it.
Thank you for taking the time to respond.

@mrspadilly
Hi again,
I chose to do the opposite. I have my blogs under different username accounts but I can see why one would choose to have them under a single account. Best wishes with your blogs. :) -
Hello Again,
Just wanted a final follow up to say I’ve read your article on “Separate Username Accounts – Separate Blogs” and it got me thinking.
I will still keep theMrsPadilly.com and PadillyMeltingPot.com Gravatar the same, and just make sure I have the correct blog listed before I hit reply.
But the information in your post with help me with managing the other two blogs (which are professional, and not associated with “MrsPadilly.” It will be a much better solution for those two other blogs! Thanks!
