  Cant upload my personal pictures i.e. the ones I want to use to demonstrate the ‘vibe’ of the blog

  Am not that keen on the images that wordpress put forward and want to use my own as my header…

  Also would like to name my blogsite appropriately but this didn’t appear to be an option…?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  to use your own image in the header of the Pilcrow theme go to the left menu, Appearance/Header; select Choose File, find your image file on your computer and select it, and the use the Upload button to get it to your site
  to avoid problems with image size in the header suggest you use the recommended image size of 770 × 200 pixels
  Name
  you can rename your site w/in limits in Settings/General but adellesite.wordpress.com will be your site name and URL
