Blog import is stuck

  Hi all,
  I am trying to import blog posts from one WP site to another one.
  The import process shows that it’s waiting on 58 resources to import (out of 97 posts), and is stuck like that for a week.
  There is no option to cancel the import process and start again…
  Any chance someone had in this situation and figured that out?

  1. Is the site you have the XML export file from still online?
  2. If yes, what is the URL?
  3. How large is the XML export file?
  4. Did you receive any error messages? If so, post them here please.

  Sometimes the importer gets stuck. If the XML export file is large you may have to import Posts, Pages, etc. in separate files. Or if the XML export file is very large Staff may have to do the import.

  Hi kerenfishzon,

  It looks like the importer got stuck so I’ve reset it for you — please try importing your file again.

  Let me know how you get on.

  Thank you for your answers.
  Unfortunately it looks like the reset hasn’t worked, as the import dashboard still displays the same message (Waiting on 58 resources to import, etc) with no option to cancel.

  Can you please check if there’s anything else that can be done?

  What is the URL of the site you are importing to? I just want to double check as I can’t see an import in progress. Also, how large is the .xml file?
