Blog is the first page to show up. but a static homepage is set in the settings

    Hello. My site has a homepage separate from the blog. This homepage is set in both

    { Settings –> Reading –> your homepage displays }

    and

    {Appearance –>customize–>homepage settings}

    on the pages tab it shows the homepage as the desired landing page. but the blog is still the first page I land on. even after clearing the catch.

    Any ideas?
