blog i've transferred still shows up in searches with my first name

  I had an old blog named one thing, but it could be found by my user name, which was my first name and one last name.

  I exported that old blog info to another wordpress account, and a new blog has been set up with my user name–including my second last name.

  However, if someone types in my name and doesn’t include my second last name, the old blog – that has been transferred into another blog – is the one that comes up. How do i break the association between that old blog and my user name? If I delete that particular old blog, I think I understand it that I’ll actually be deleting my user name? I’m struggling to figure this out! Thank you in advance for any insight.

  What’s put on the web tends to stay on the web.

  In these days of ever increasing identity theft and cyberstalkers, I’ll never understand why people put their real names out there.

  You could try changing the name/address of the old one, but the cached and archived versions will remain out there for quite some time.
