Blog Layout (sidebars)
-
Hi all,
My theme is Vigilance, and I am looking for some help on rearranging my blog site a bit. I would like to have a left and right sidebar. Right now all of my widgets are to the right of my blog, but I would like to split them up and have some in a left sidebar. Am I able to do this in my current theme? What would be the best way to go about doing this?
Thanks in advance!!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

This is sort of nasty. You have to start using the two narrower sidebars instead of the main wide one, and then with a lot of shifting and positioning, the “left” sidebar can be put to the left of the content. It is tricky though and I’m not sure if things will blow up or not because the two sidebars do not have their own div’s in the markup. It might work OK and it might not. One would not know till they got to the end and then tested it thoroughly.
I know you’ve put a lot of work into Vigilance, but I would probably suggest finding a theme where the two sidebars can be split on the left and right of the content via the theme options. Perhaps Pilcrow or Coraline.

See under “Two or three sidebars” and “Sidebar(s) plus bottom and/or header”.
