It woeks for me and I’m using Firefox 13. These are the troubleshooting steps we take whenever any issues like this arise:
clearing your browser cache and cookies > http://www.google.com/support/accounts/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=32050
using the browser with all extensions or add-ons disabled
updating the browser to the latest stable version (not a buggy BETA browser version) http://browsehappy.com/
confirming third party cookies is enabled http://support.google.com/accounts/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=61416
confirming JavaScript is enabled http://www.google.com/adsense/support/bin/answer.py?answer=12654
confirming Flash is updated http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ and if required installing the latest version of Flash http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/
resetting your router and modem and rebooting your computer
then logging in using the secure https:// log-in see http://en.support.wordpress.com/https/
trying another browserIf those do not work for you then we need to know
(1) how you are connecting to the internet and to WordPress.com. The way you connect to the internet (mobile, satellite, DSL, dial-up) and to your blog, and how many proxy server jumps etc. it takes to connect can cause problems. There maybe be problems with your ISP and/or with the proxy servers. Also note that the main dashboard isn’t designed to work with touch devices through the tablet and smartphone browsers.(2) exactly which browser and version of it are you using. I’m getting similar problems. Both blog pages and admin pages return the message from Firefox, “The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading.” They load okay occasionally, but mostly I get that message.
I’ve tried all of the above to no avail, except for the https suggestion, which requires that I access my WP dashboard, which refuses to load, or to save changes when i occasionally manage to get that far.
I’m on Firefox 13, and have also had the same results from Chrome 19.0.1084.52

Doesn’t seem to have helped I’m afraid.
I’ve cleared my cookies and retried—no change. It’s odd, every now and again, I get a run of a few pages loading, then it goes back to the server-problem message.
It seems slightly more prevalent in wp-admin and its sub-directories, but isn’t restricted to that.
-
Do you have access to another network that you could check from, like home, work, internet café, cell, etc?
-
I’m afraid not.
Small change: refreshing the page is helping a little more often now. I’m wondering if changing the amount of time Firefox waits before declaring a missed connection, or whatever the technical term is, might help? Is that even possible? I’ll google it, but wait for your reply before trying anything as technical as that—it’s a bit beyond my comfort level do do it off my own bat.
-
That may help, but it’s not possible as far as I know. Please let us know what you find, if anything!
-
Nothing seems to have worked, I’m afraid. It’s definitely only WP this happens on, though. I’ve not had the problem on any other site, and even within WP, the odd couple of times it’s happened on other blogs than my own, one refresh has been enough.
Strangely, the stats/reader etc page has given no trouble whatsoever, whilst admin and the actual blog-pages seem to be getting worse, though I still get a run of ‘lucky’ clicks now and again.

Are you currently using AdBlock?
If so, would you please report that AdBlock is interfering with our website https://adblockplus.org/en/getting_started and try to whitelist us https://adblockplus.org/en/faq_basics#disable ?
-
That’s weird!
When I tried Firefox in safe mode, which should have disabled all addons, the problem still occurred. I’ve just manually disabled adblock-plus, and all seems fine. (Touch wood—if it’s just another series of lucky clicks, it’s the longest so far by a long chalk!)
I’ll try the whitelist idea, thanks. That ought to work. Even if it don’t, I can disable the addon ’til an update fixes the problem.
Thank you very much for your help.
-
Thanks for confirming!
Would you mind removing us from the whitelist, then look at blockable resources when you load the page and can hover over the URL that was blocked (like maybe http://s0.wp.com/….)? It will provide some detail as to why it was blocked, and that would be a big help to us.
Of course, you’re welcome to whitelist us again after that. :)
Thanks!

You’ve lost me I’m afraid. Probably my bad reading comprehension + lack of sleep + way too much caffeine :-)
Could you give a bit more of a ‘click this, look at that’ explanation of what it is you want me to do?
-
I don’t use AdBlock.
In all the time I have used WordPress for my several blogs it has been faultless. I recommend it highly to everybody! This morning – agonizing. Similar problems to those described above.
Everything seems to be working intermittently – Chrome / Firefox / IE all the same.
Other websites I have been using with no problem.

Thanks for all the help and tips guys, the blog link seems to be working on my work laptop via internet explorer, but at home using google chrome it doesnt seem too, any further help will be much appreciated
Thanks

Just to update:
I’m still experiencing the problem intermittently, though not as often as with adblock enabled.
-
Lots of Error messages.Since yesterday morning I can get to my dashboard, for example, but not to my homepage from there. I couldn’t even sign into this dashboard other than in some roundabout intuitive way.
I cleared my browser, not difference. Annoying.
The only coinciding event I can think of is that I allowed ADOBE to update yesterday morning. -
-
The above problems are what I have been experiencing in the last day or two….I run Chrome and dont have Adblock….like the above this problem only manifests itself on WP
-
Hmmm I too allowed ADOBE flash to update yesterday (like courseofmirrors)….is this the causal effect i wonder??
