Blog links not working
-
Hello,
My name is Ipek.
I have a blog that I connected to the link http://www.ipekbilen.com
I first opened this blog under the domain name of http://www.cheerfulmind.com
Yesterday, I decided to use http://www.ipekbilen.com as my blog address and link so I went to godaddy.com and directed cheerfulmind.com to ipekbilen.com
Now, I am trying to click on Site Admin or New Post links to post new blogs but those links are not working.
I appreciate your help!Thanks
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi Ipek,
When you use domain forwarding from an outside registrar, several of the functions provided by WordPress.com will not function. The short explanation is that when the domain registrar is forwarding the address it breaks your user connection to WordPress.com and we no longer recognize you.
If you wish to keep forwarding the site in this way, you’ll need to make changes via your dashboard and the admin bar will not function correctly for you or your readers who are WordPress users.
To make everything function properly, you’ll need to add ipekbilen.com as a mapped domain with your WordPress.com account:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/
Once you’ve mapped the domain to your site, you can select ipekbilen.com as your primary domain and cheerfulmind.com will redirect to that domain — and your admin bar will function correctly for you and your readers.
Best,
-Alex G.

Hello,
I did what you said. I also paid for the $13 domain mapping fee. This time, when I type http://www.ipekbilen.com I cannot reach the website. Could you please help me with that? Thanks. -Ipek

Hi Ipek,
The name servers for ipekbilen.com are still pointing to their GoDaddy defaults, once we change it to point to WordPress you’ll be all set. :)
Here are instructions for changing nameservers with GoDaddy:
https://support.godaddy.com/help/article/664/setting-nameservers-for-your-domain-names(Click on “Setting Custom Nameservers for a Domain Name Registered with Us” to see the proper instructions.)
Following those instructions, change your domain’s name servers to these three records:
NS1.WORDPRESS.COM NS2.WORDPRESS.COM NS3.WORDPRESS.COMIf you get stuck, more information on this process can be found in Step #3 here:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/Or just let me know! :)
Best,
-Alex G.

But I still cannot click on Site Admin link. The website opens now when I type http://www.ipekbilen.com but when I click on Site Admin, it doesn’t work.

Hi Ipek,
I tried visiting your site and the admin bar seems to now be working correctly where it hadn’t before:
Were you trying to click a different link than the one I was using in the video? If you’re getting a different result from that video, could you first try clearing your Cache and cookies, reloading the browser, and trying again?
Also, see if your third-party cookies are enabled:
I’m also assuming you’ve successfully stopped that domain redirect from GoDaddy?
Best,
-Alex G.
