Blog listing (selected by tag?) on other page
-
Good day,
Is it possible to make a new page (other than the home page!) to hold a blog list, possibly using a specific tag to select which to display?
Say I’m on the homepage of a wordpress site about ‘world travelling’. The home page lists featured content, and a list of the latest blog posts.
The user clicks in the menu bar on ‘Africa’ and is brought to a page where only blogs about / with the tag ‘Africa’ are shown. This can be very helpful as it can work as a sort of ‘submenu’, especially for a listing of related blogs that are not all of interest on the homepage.
Imagine for example also a website about a conference/congres.
One menu button could be called ‘speakers’, which takes you to the list of speakers. As for now, I have to make a page with simple text links, that aren’t really fancy and on top of that requires a lot of copy/pasting of text and images from the target, for example to get the highlighted picture+header text from a blog/page as a link (like a blog post listing often looks like on the front page).

You might want to explore two options for organizing your content:
Cateogory Pages: https://en.support.wordpress.com/category-pages/
Display Posts shortcode: https://en.support.wordpress.com/display-posts-shortcode/
Let me know how it goes.

Glad that was helpful! Feel free to start a new thread if you need help with anything else.

If editing that appearance of previous/next blog/post under my current blog/post is not possible, does the ‘display-post’ code then allow for listing pages as well, instead of blog/posts?
This because pages don’t get those ugly buttons for next/previous items under them. Thanks!
