Blog Loading slow on mobile due to JustAd error

    Hi, my blog https://songkitchenblog.wordpress.com/ experienced loading issue a few months ago if I use mobile phone. I used Safari and the blog will load halfway and stuck. I click ‘x’ to stop the loading and the blog page will appear. Upon checking there is a loading on 2 mins on this ad: cs.emxdgt.com. There is no place to provide a screen shot for you to troubleshoot. Please help.

    Hi, I did not get to see the ad as I usually click “x”, thus unsure if there is “Report this ad” option. Do you like to have the screenshot of where I get this cs.emxdgt.com? I could not locate a place to upload a screenshot. Thank you.

    I am able to see your screenshot but it is only of part of your screen, so it’s hard to understand what I am looking at. With that in mind, can you provide a bit more info to help us track this ad down since you are not able to self-report in this case?

    Here is the info we need:

    • Is this issue only on a mobile phone? your screenshot seems to indicate you have this issue on the desktop as well.
    • where does the add appear (or try to appear) on your site? in the Header? Somewhere on the homepage? In the middle of text for a blog post or page?
    • Does the ad load eventually? If you leave your site open in a browser window does it appear if you give it enough time, or is it always a “blank” ad no matter hw long you let it load?
    • Are you able to see the full URL of the second red link in your screenshot? I see it as ups.analytics.yahoo.c.. but I’m wondering if you can find the full URL and share it

    Also if you can include a screenshot that shows your entire screen, and not just a cropped view of the browser logs it would be a big help, thanks!

    Hi, thank you for the quick response. Please see my reply:

    1) I believe the problem is only happening for safari browser. I first experienced it on mobile and subsequently tried on mac safari browser and the same behaviour happened. Not happening on chrome.

    2) I am not sure, I do not see the ad. Probably due to it failing somehow.

    3) Nope as you can see in my attached screenshot showad.js loading indefinitely.

    4) Tried to see the content of “occ” but got the response as seen in screenshots (please see updated screenshots in media library – https://wordpress.com/media/songkitchenblog.wordpress.com).

  • Thanks for all the details.

    I checked your site in Safari on my end, and all the resources that are stuck loading, or failing completely in your screen shots, loaded fine on my end and within seconds, so I don’t think the problem is coming from our servers.

    Is it possible for you to check if those same resources fail to load if you use a different internet connection?

  • Also please check if using a private window in Safari makes a difference, and also try clearing the browser cache in Safari if you haven’t done that yet.

    Hi, thank you for getting back quickly. I tried with a few mobile phones with different locations (different network) & still have the same issue. It is inconsistent. Sometimes ok the 1st time, when click refresh, it get stuck again.

    Perhaps you can try loading the website a few times & refresh as well, likely will hit the problem. Thank you.

    I tested your site in all the major browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari) and I wasn’t able to replicate the issue you’re describing.

    I also refreshed the page several times without any issues.

    Finally, I used my VPN connection and tested it from various locations around the world. Every time the site loaded fine.

    Is it still happening when you visit your site on a private browser window?

    Hi, really appreciate your help. It is not working on pte browser as well. Only mobile site not working, desktop is very good.

    It happened only about 2 months ago as I refer and upload recipes quite often thus noticed the slow loading using my mobile phone. I have asked my friends to try & same issue. I am unsure how to reproduce this but 95% of the time I encounter this problem which did not exist since I started WP since 2016.

    Unsure how to reproduce. I took a video but I could not upload to Media Library. Unsure if a screenshot of what I see on my mobile phone would help in anyway? Thank you so much.

    The screenshot is from my apple mobile phone using my home network, safari. You can see that the screen is blank. But when I click “x” on top right, the blog page would appear. I have also uploaded the same copy to Media Library. Thank you.

  • Thanks for that info. Out of curiosity does your site have this same issue if you use a mobile data connection (5G, LTE, 4G, etc) instead of your home wifi?

    I have checked your site in Safari on my iPhone 12 Pro and it loads fine for me. I refreshed my browser approx. 30 times and had no issue. We’ve also tried using a VPN to load your site from various locations around the globe and still seem to not be able to replicate this issue on our end.

    I’m curious to know if this is an issue only for your local network, but is not an issue when using the cellular data network instead.

    Also can you let us know the following so we can file a report with our ads team?

    * Your device/browser and operating system version.
    * your IP address (you can find this by visiting whatismyip.com)

    Hi, thank you for your response. The issue happened on both wifi & mobile data. Below are the info requested:

    1) IP Add: 116.87.33.137
    2) iPhone 7 Safari browser; iOS 14.4

  • @icookucookblog we’re trying a temporary test on this end to see if we’ve found the correct issue.
