blog location, plugins, and bluhost questons

    ok so i spent a lot of weeks, a lot of sweat and tears setting up my blog. i was using wordpress .com. i want to purchase my domain name soon. but, before my first post went out, which is supposed to be this week, i wanted to make sure i have everything right.
    a lot of people say bluehost is good to host the blog through. so i was going to use that. i would like my site to read .com not .org but i really would like to make money and use plugins on my site. Am i going to have to redo everything i have done with my blog when i start with bluhost? am i going to have to redo everything if i have to start with wordpress. org? i am very lost. please help?
