Blog looks different in Safari.

I’ve been using Firefox to edit my blog theme using CSS, but when I just opened it in Safari, some of the things look off. For instance, the sidebar does not have the orange border, and the widgets are all aligning to the left. Any suggestions on how to fix this? I’ve tried ‘inspecting the element’ in Safari, but am not having any luck. Thanks.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I’m moving this thread to the CSS forum where volunteers who know about CSS will be more likely to find your question.

Each browser has its own way of displaying the elements of your blog: even without CSS there can be noticeable differences.

Apparently from what I can see you have pasted the entire stylesheet into the CSS edit window and at wordpress.COM that can cause issues. Right now the original stylesheet and what you have pasted into the edit box are fighting each other.

If you pasted the entire stylesheet, then click the “start from scratch” button and save and see if that doesn’t take care of the issue. You will likely have to make adjustments to things afterward such as adding the background declaration to #sidebar.

Also note that if you look at the original #sidebar, they used separate border-color, border-style and border-width declarations whereas you used the combined. The combined will not override the separate declarations. Again, things are fighting each other.
