blog lost a load of follows

The blog below lost about 400 follows to-night, would there be any reason for it.

When you use Publicize to autopost to Facebook, Twitter and Linkedin your friends/followers on those social networks are added into the number of those who are following your blog in the WordPress.com Reader here > http://wordpress.com/#!/read/
If your remove the Publicize app the inflated numbers drop to the real numbers that reflect only those who are following the blog in the WordPress.com Reader.

Do you know where you lost the specific number? Was it WordPress.com followers, email followers, Twitter, Facebook, etc?
Everything is lumped together into one big total, viewable separately in the site stats.

I think I may have found the problem.
Twitter is not reporting any follower numbers for https://twitter.com/web_pensioner which would be your 242 missing followers.
This happens from time to time. Twitter sends us new numbers every 24 hours, so assuming they actually send us numbers, it will be fixed up within the day some time.

Does the above reply about Twitter not telling us about your 242 followers sound about right?
So far, it’s the only thing I see, and it’s the right number going by your previous totals.

I just checked twitter and 242 is right.
You must be checking the stats in my main blog, its the link to the poetry blog above where i’m getting the stats.

I was checking http://poetscornerblog.wordpress.com/ which is also connected to https://twitter.com/web_pensioner which has 242 followers, except Twitter is telling us that it has 0 followers.
Hence the missing 242 followers on http://poetscornerblog.wordpress.com/
