Blog Lost Half Its Followers

    Hello Everyone,

    I have a blog at http://theassailedteacher.com/. For the past two or three months, I have not been able to post as frequently as I would have liked. I love blogging but serious personal issues kept me away for a while.

    I started to get back in the swing of things about a month ago. Again, because my personal life is still not 100%, I have really only had time to post and not much else. Responding to all comments (I still do reply to some) or updating my themes just have not been in the cards.

    Anyway, all of this is to say that I have been blogging with half an eye and half a brain. This is not my ideal, since I really do like to put my all into my site. However, I just noticed just now that I have half the amount of followers I used to have.

    I was making a push for my first 1,000 followers being somewhere in the 800s. Yet, just now, I noticed that my followers are half that amount. I checked and my Twitter and Facebook are still connected to my blog, so those followers are still there. I did not have any other things counting towards my followers (aside from my fellow WordPress bloggers, obviously.)

    What gives? I know that I might not be providing you with a lot of information. This is because of the half-assed way I have been blogging lately. Are there any explanations that anyone has for this? Can anyone think of something that I might not be thinking of? Can anyone shed some light?

    I will be happy to answer any questions you have if you need more information. Thank you for your help. I know my blog sucks, but to have 400 people turn their backs on me overnight? I dunno, maybe I do suck that bad.

    Do you think what’s posted in the sticky post at the head of the forum is relevant ? Publicize Follower Counts not showing, or showing incorrectly

    Oh, do you mean I published this as a sticky? If so, I am very sorry. I have never posted on this forum before. Please forgive me if I did not follow proper protocol and tell me what I did wrong so I can avoid doing it in the future.
