Blog lost sidebar and background fill on main page (k2 lite)
-
I put up a new page and post yesterday at my blog, blog.abunga.com which is a wordpress hosted blog with the sub-domain redirect. It seems to have suddenly lost all the widgets and the white background for the posts. The crazy thing is it’s only done this on the main page, where the posts show up. The other two pages, Abunga.com and Press Releases appear as normal.
Any ideas on what to do? K2-lite is the theme I’m using, and I’ve never quite had a problem like this before.
Thanks!

I did not (at least not intentionally) I have a custom header, and widgets, but I have no idea how to edit the css.

With all the different formatting I see in the posts, I suspect a lot of what you have is copied and pasted from either websites or from other programs such as MS Word. Set your blog to display only one post per page (options > reading) and then go through them one at a time to see which one is causing the problem.
W3C reports that there are 70 errors on your main page alone: http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fblog.abunga.com%2F&charset=%28detect+automatically%29&doctype=Inline&group=0

Thanks, your advice fixed it! It’s a multi author blog and one of our authors copied a major post from Word, badabing, badaboom site looks funny.
I just copied his text into textedit, and recopied back into WordPress problem solved.
Thanks again for your help!

You’re welcome and happy blogging. One suggestion would be to go through the errors on the W3C site and try and correct them as they can cause you problems later on.
