Blog Menus Disappeared
-
I had multiple menus at the top of my blog page like Company Philosophy, About Reardon Custom Homes, Scott Reardon Bio, etc. and now they are just not there!
I went to my dashboard, clicked menus and saw them “grayed out.” When I tried to click on one, they all disappeared and now they seem to be lost. Does anyone have experience with this? I really hope these menus are not “forever lost”, as they were important to my Blog Home Page, and I don’t have the original content saved.
Thanks,
Scott Reardon

I think I figured it out – I changed my Blog Theme to Chaotic Soul, and it seems this theme doesn’t support the Menus at the top of the page like the last one I was using.
Any ideas about how to recover this content? I could just list what were Menus as Categories…
Thanks again,
Scott R.

Custom menu isn’t appearing! Go to the custom menu page in the dashboard Appearance > Menus and in the “Theme Location” module on the upper left select your custom menu from the pulldown and then click “save”. The Custom Menu Widget allows you to display pages, categories, and custom links with a single widget. To use it, you first need to select the custom menu you named.
In Appearance > Menus you can create as many custom menus as you like. The one your top navigation menu will display is the one you select from the pulldown in the Theme Locations module.
The Custom Menu widget is used in themes with no top navigation menu, or if you want a different custom menu in your sidebar or bottombar (selected from the widget pulldown).
