  Hi, I would like to change my blog’s name to toiletiquette, but this name is already exists – although the site belonged to it is not functioning. My blog focuses on a unique topic but it makes difficult to build audience because the name makes no sense at its current form.
  Please help me bring toiletiquette back to life!

  Hi Kata,

  If the other URL is already registered, you can’t directly claim it even if the blog has been inactive since its inception.

  What you can, however, do is try to get in touch with the blog owner, either through a contact form (if available on their blog) or through comments on their posts/pages.

  You can request them to have the domain transferred to you by specifically asking the staff here. If they don’t, I’m afraid you’re out of luck.
