  Hi,

  There is a blog name that I want to use which has already been taken.

  I have had a look on the blog and they have not used it for the last 8 years and there is no content. How do I get in touch with the person to ask if I can please have it

  By purchasing the domain name they essentially own it whether the want to use it or not. Sorry. There’s not much you can do…

  If it’s a standard free blog here (their-site.wordpress.com) – there is no expiration date. The staff will not contact the blogger on your behalf or give you any contact info for privacy reasons. If there is no contact form and the comments are not open you are out of luck – if there is a place to leave a comment – try leaving a comment and if the comments are set to Moderate the blog owner will be sent an email to the email of record for the blog
