Blog Name
-
I used the wordpress.org for my blog. And now I wanted to create a new one for free. Usually, if available, you can get a free simple name like: http://example.wordpress.com. I have checked the blog name like I want in the browser and it doesn’t exist. It means the name is still available, right? The name I want for example: ‘grumpymom.wordpress.com’. But after following steps to create the blog I got the freename ‘grumpymom.home.blog’ instead. I want the ‘wordpress’ – not the ‘home.blog’ How can I get the ‘wordpress’ ending for free? Or it is not free?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Since you’ve created a site, try changing the address. https://en.support.wordpress.com/changing-site-address/
Change the drop down from .home.blog to .wordpress.com, then RETYPE the subdomain you want to use to be able to save the change.
If you try to create a site and pick Business or Professional instead of Blog type, you’ll see a .wordpress.com address offered.
