I wanted to start a new blog and typed in a name. It was available. Then I thought maybe I would upgrade to a .com address instead of wordpress.com. Then I re-considered and went to type in the name I’d just typed in seconds before and I get the message that it’s not available. That can’t be correct. Please can you help? It’s the whatscookingmaliya.wordpress.com address that I want. Thank you!!!

It’s not available because the blog already exists. So, either you actually created it and didn’t realize or someone else did but in any case you can’t reuse a blog address that already exists.

It should be available. It was available when I typed it in seconds before. I can’t believe it became unavailable in that short space in time.

Hi Malyya,
The blog is showing up as yours, with your email associated with it.
Please try going to your other blog’s dashboard (where you can see your stats) and going to the “my blogs” tab, and selecting this new blog.

Could you try clearing your cache? You may be seeing an “old” page that your computer has cached instead.
