blog name change

  I was trying to change my blog name on mobile and ended up registering a new blog. I was able to get on my computer and delete that but am now unable to use the domain I want. Is there anyway this can change? Otherwise, I’ll have to delete my whole blog/account because it won’t be relevant to me anymore.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hello,

  What is the error you get?
  Does it say that the name is taken?
  If the name you want is the same as the blog you deleted, you would not be able to do that.

  How did you delete the blog exactly?

  Sorry that you missed the warnings while deleting the blog. It’s not possible to use the same “WordPress.com” domain name again (see https://en.support.wordpress.com/recycling-blog-names/).

  You can choose another similar name or opt for a custom domain name (https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/register-domain/).

  Okay, thanks. I was going to use both WordPress and Facebook for my blog so I don’t need this account. I’ll go ahead and delete it. Thanks again!

  @csynett. sorry for that.

  Instead of deleting the site you can make it private so that just in case you want to use it again sometime in future.

  Hi there!

  Just to add to the helpful replies already posted here… You mentioned that you’re also thinking of deleting your account.

  WordPress.com accounts cannot be deleted since we don’t want other people to have your username in the future. This is so that no one can impersonate you. :)

  What you can do instead is to empty your information and “lock” your account. For instructions on how to do that, please see:
