Blog name change and redirection

  I would like to change the name of our blog, from blog.updataadvisors.com to blog.signalhill.com, and also redirect visitors from the old name to the new name. How do we go about that? Could you tell me what the IP address of blog.updataadvisors is so i can point blog.signalhill.com to it?

  Hi. My best guess is that it’s probably just a question of mapping the two subdomains to the same WordPress.com blog…

  If you have a base blog here then it should be just a matter of changing the mapping for the base blog to the new subdomain name – not sure if the domain forwarding would be needed for the redirect from the old URL to the new URL – but I think your IT person might be able to set up a simple 301 redirect on your own site – all that is done without IP numbers-

  If you IT person does not understand things then have them contact the staff.
