Blog Name Change Not Accepted

If Settings won’t accept the new name I choose for my blog, does it mean that there is a blog with exactly the same name on WordPress or one with the same name anywhere in the blogosphere? Also, can a blog name contain one or two words in common with another blog name, or not?

Blog names entered in settings > general can be anything you want and doesn’t depend on anything on the web, or other blogs. Were you using any special characters? Perhaps post the name you were trying to use here.
