blog name edit/change

  My blog, kellyquince, reads as “My Blog” in my blog roll. I’d like it to read as “kellyquince” and have had a tough time trying to make this change. I forgot to select a blog name when I enrolled this name. Thank you, Kelly

  You can’t change a blog name (address) that you’ve already registered, but you can create a new one. Do you want to change the address, or just the title?

  Thank you for your quick reply. This is in the “My Blogs” window in the Dashboard. I want the blog name and the blog address to be the same. The blog address is “kellyquince”. The blog name reads “My Blog”. This is in the “My Blogs” window in the Dashboard.

  The Site title (blog name) and/or the optional Tagline can be changed on the top of this page at any time. > Settings > General …”save changes”
  That is exactly where search engine spiders look for the site title and removing it from there can cause issues with getting your content indexed. The title displayed in “my Blogs” after a title changed is cached data that takes a day or two to reflect the change.

  You cannot edit any URL like http://atelierdescinqchats.wordpress.com/. If you want to make a change to that blog address ie. the URL starting with http:// then you must be logged in as Admin under the exact same username account that registered the blog to do that and the URL you desire must be available. If so then you can change the URL by using this guide http://en.support.wordpress.com/changing-blog-address/

  Thank you @timethief. I think I made the change that you mentioned. I will be patient for a few days and check back to see if it reads correctly in the My Blogs list. I am very new to WordPress. Thank you, Kelly

  Thank you @timethief. The blog name reads as kellyquince when I go to the blog itself, so I believe everything is on its way to being corrected. I will subscribe to this thread(I think I already am subscribed because I have received email notifications to the support comments.) Thank you, Kelly
