blog name in use

  Hello

  I would like to make a wordpress page but the name I want (for the link) is in use.
  Thing is that this person has been inactive on wordpress for 3 years and has only posted once.

  Is there any chance or procedure to help my problem?

  Nope. Choose another name.

  Or, but this is really clutching at straws, leave a comment on the blog and see if the original owner would be prepared to give it to you. But your best bet is just to choose another name.

  I did not find that link when trying to find answer before asking my question… newbies like me sometimes don’t select effective key words for searches.

  The search function in WP.com is as touchy as a PMSing velociraptor. I generally use Google, even to search the forums!

  Just type in:

  WhatYouAreLookingFor site:en.forums.wordpress.com

  That restricts teh search just to the forums. The forum seach is tag based, and few people use the tags.

  Hi,

  I wish to use the name for our association to build a blog, but systems say “in use”.

  I try to connecto to this blog, but system said “deleted”.

  Why i cant use a blog name really dont used anymore???

  Because that’s what staff have decided. Blog url’s are not recycled here at wordpress.com. Pick another name.
