Blog name not pointing to my blog
-
Recently I changed my blog name from ‘i sat by river hudson’ to ‘little creature’. Under new blog name I commented on some other blogs. But when other bloggers click on my name they are being forwarded to some other blog(littlecreature.wordpress) and not to my blog url(isatbyriverhudson.wp). In settings section under web address i have used this (isatbyriverhudson) link only.
please advise. The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

re: http://isatbyriverhudson.wordpress.com/
Site Title: Little Creature
Tagline: with monstrous attitudeSite titles (Blog Names) and optional Taglines located here > Settings > General can easily be changed at any time.

Clicking this link produces an odd result http://littlecreature.wordpress/ so I Tagged this thread for a Staff follow-up.

Thanks timethief. As a last resort I also changed my username to litlcreature. Yet the problem persists. WordPress help!

Hi,
at http://isatbyriverhudson.wordpress.com it is written that the blog no longer exists and that the authors have deleted this site.
-
yes I just chaned the address to http://litlcreature.wordpress.com/ still my name points to some other blog.
-
Here’s how to link your username to your blog in your blog Dashboard -> Users -> Personal Settings -> then scroll down to Account Details. Then scroll down to where it says ‘Primary Blog‘ select the URL for your primary wordpress.com blog and then save changes. Then every time you sign into the forum we can all click on your username and your blog will be linked to it. And every time you leave a comment on a blog your username can be likewise clicked and your blog can be instantly located. This change is NOT retroactive. Any comments your previously left when your username was linked to another site will remain linked to it.

Do note that deleting blogs does not solve anything. http://en.support.wordpress.com/recycling-blog-names/ If the blog you deleted had any authority, backlinks or page rank earned by that URL chnage the URL and you don’t purchase a site redirect upgrade then they are gone forever.

Timethief, thank you for the advise. However, I have already done everything you mentioned, and yet I face the same problem. My primary blog URL is already there and so is website link updated. What else should I do?

Hi,
I got lost somewhere on the way.Litlcreature, could you explain better what the situation is and what you would want it to be?
Here is your first blog, as far as I could understand:
http://isatbyriverhudson.wordpress.comand from it this is what I get:
isatbyriverhudson.wordpress.com is no longer available.
The authors have deleted this site.
here is your second blog:
http://littlecreature.wordpress.comand this time there is indeed a blog!
Title
Where all creatures come out and play
and no content yet.
(just the default page of your theme with no content)
What do *you* get, and what do you need to get?
-
You content from the blog your deleted is found in Google’s cache. This is the search string site:isatbyriverhudson.wordpress.com/ and this is the result http://tinyurl.com/nff79m5
If you want that content in the new blog at http://littlecreature.wordpress.com/ you will have to copy and paste it into new posts and pages. -
edit: replace the first sentence above with.
Your content from the blog you deleted is found in Google’s cache. -
Could you please provide a link to a post where your URL is not pointing to the right place?
when other bloggers click on my name they are being forwarded to some other blog(littlecreature.wordpress) and not to my blog url(isatbyriverhudson.wp)
If you changed your site address and previously used it when commenting on others’ blogs, that address will remain on those other sites in the comments. If you want the old address to forward automatically to your new one, you’ll need to purchase a Site Redirect upgrade.
If you’d like to purchase a site redirect for isatbyriverhudson.wordpress.com please let me know and I’ll email you the details on how to do that, since the name change makes it a bit more complicated.
If I’ve misunderstood the nature of the problem, could you please let me know in more detail what the issue is? Thanks!
