blog not displaying at all – error 504

  why is my blog not displaying at all? i keep getting error 504 when i try to go to my blog.
  i was updating an image widget which was successful, then the whole thing crashed now it wont display at all and i keep getting error 504. i have cleared cookies and cache as recommended still no joy, any help?
