Blog not displaying properly

  Some people have been telling me that there is a big space between the header and the first post. At work I have to use IE6 and it shows the bottom of the right side column at the top left where the first post is supposed to start. At home with Firefox and Safari, it looks fine. It started a few days ago I hear. I would put in a screen shot but I can’t.

  Perhaps I should say that I can’t edit my CSS. I don’t recall adding anything recently that would have caused it.

  It seems to only happen in IE, not Safari or Firefox. Any ideas?

  You have li tags with li tags within your Statcounter widget. I would try removing the li tags you’ve placed in there and see if that helps.

  I could do that but they have been there since I started using WordPress a couple of months ago.

  I have other display issues: on the wordpress theme, custom header takes a split second to load and there is an instant annoying red box appearing just a flash before the custom image comes on..can this be eliminated? The image thereafter also doesn’t bear the nice rounded corners of the original..

  @huatlim – i don’t see a custom image header on your blog (using Firefox).

  @sirdar – did you try DrMike’s suggestion? I know it seems like that probably isn’t the problem, but the folks behind the scenes at wordpress are constantly tweaking stuff. A change/upgrade in the past week might have triggered the issue.

  I could do what you suggested…and I will.

  I am just confused as to how changing something in my sidebar widget on my left column that has been there since the begining of January would affect the right side column now? It is only happening in IE and Opera, not Firefox or Safari.

  But…I will still do what you suggested and see what happens.

  drmike: It wasn’t the list tags on the left side under the “Statcounter”, but the list tags in the “Wanna Chat?” widget was the problem.
  After I posted above I was thinking as to what I added to the right side recently as that what appeared to be messed up….so I checked and your suggestion of removing the list tags was correct. Once I removed it from the “Wanna Chat?” widget, it fixed it.
