Blog not in topics, mature?
-
A week ago I had 3 threads here inquiring why my blog is not showing up in topics.
I was told the reason was that it was “mature”.
I insisted that it didn’t come under that category.
I was told that the matter would be taken to a staff member and I should be patient.
How patient should I expect to be. A week has gone by and the situation has not been resolved. I have checked my email and have had no reply from “the powers that be”
I feel like I am being censored unfairly. -
Hi there,
A week is not a long time when one considers how backlogged Staff are with support requests. This thread has been flagged for Staff attention. -
Your site was classified as Mature due to its content.
As you mention in the About widget in your sidebar, “I also quite often write about sex, so expect some adult content and language from time to time.”
-
“From time to time”
Not always. Seems a poor reason to censor me, especially since any mature post is well flagged, and they are a minority.
I have seen much more mature material on blogs that are not flagged as responsibly as mine is and which still appear in topics.
Still waiting for a response from staff. -
macmanx is staff. The designation below his name (“happiness engineer”) indicates that.
If you see mature material on other blogs, which are not marked as mature, then you can certainly report them yourself:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/report-blogs/The only other option I can suggest is to communicate via the form at the bottom of this support document with the TOS team. Perhaps they can suggest which specific posts you must remove from your blog in order to remove the “mature” designation.

We volunteers do not have any authority to determine the status of another user’s blog: not whether or not it violates Terms of Service (which yours has not been designated by staff), nor whether it meets the standards of being classified as mature.
As noted previously, this is a peer to peer support forum. Staff looks in to make official decisions based on WordPress.com / Automatic policies according to their TOS.
It is policy for us (volunteers) not to discuss these issues in these public forums.
Again, before contacting the TOS team, please review the official support document about what makes a blog “mature.”
http://en.support.wordpress.com/mature-content/We do permit mature content on WordPress.com, including text, images and videos that contain nudity, offensive language, and mature subject material. However, blogs that contain such content can and will be marked as Mature in our system.
There is nothing else about this issue to discuss in this forum so I will close this thread.
