blog not linking to Facebook

  I just posted a piece that has garnered interest of Facebook followers. However, none of the numbers show up on the icon that displays FB clicks and so forth. I checked in Sharing. It is connected. There is a glitch? Thanks.

  Hi Catherine,

  When you use the WordPress.com sharing buttons, those buttons only count the number of times someone has clicked that button to share your post on Facebook. We aren’t able to count the times your post is shared in other ways on Facebook.

  If you’d like, you can switch to using the official sharing button styles for your posts in your sharing settings: http://en.support.wordpress.com/sharing/#customizing-sharing-settings

  With those official button styles, the share counts on those sharing buttons will come directly from the sharing service (so, for example, the Facebook button will get its number directly from Facebook).

  You can make that change next to “Button style” in your sharing settings under Settings > Sharing here:
