    Hi there,

I see you’ve added the domain mapping upgrade to your WordPress.com site–that’s the first step. The next step is to point your domain to the WordPress.com name servers. Since your domain is registered with someone else, you’ll need to do that step with your domain registrar. Here the the general instructions:

    http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/

Do you know who your domain registrar is? If so, I can help you find the specific instructions on how to change the name servers on their site.

It looks like you have set up a self-hosted site over on Lithium Hosting’s servers. Was that intentional, or did that happen as part of trying to add WordPress via the Lithium Control panel?

If it was an accident and you still want to use your domain with your site hosted at WordPress.com, we can have the support people at Lithium help you get your domain set up correctly.

    http://lithiumhosting.com/support.php

Click the link below to go to the Lithium support page. Click “Submit Ticket” and then log in.

From there, follow the instructions for submitting a ticket, and paste the following message into the ticket:

I would like to use my domain with a WordPress.com site. In order to do this, I need to point my domain’s name servers to the following:

    NS1.WORDPRESS.COM

    NS2.WORDPRESS.COM

    NS3.WORDPRESS.COM

I do not want to create a WordPress site hosted here. I do not want to transfer my domain, but want to leave it registered with you. WordPress.com does not permit mapping by setting an A record to point to an IP address. They require the name servers to be updated as described.

They should be able to help you get this all fixed up.
