Blog not loading

Hello! My blog, witchininthekitchen.com, is not loading on multiple browsers or mobile, and friends have shared with me that they can also not load the homepage. I’m also not able to access the dashboard; the only page I am able to access is: https://wordpress.com/posts/drafts/108.8c2.myftpupload.com.
I’m not sure what the problem is, but I need to write two new blog posts today to publish/schedule and send to an editor. Appreciate your immediate support!

It looks like witchininthekitchen.com is actually a self-hosted site mapped to GoDaddy. However, you have a mapping upgrade for that domain on the site witchinkitchen.wordpress.com. Did you want to use the domain witchininthekitchen.com as a self-hosted site or on WordPress.com? The difference is broken down a bit here:

Hi Jeremey! Thanks for the quick response. Witchinkitchen.wordpress.com is my old blog; I migrated it to wordpress.org several months ago and the witchininthekitchen.com domain points to the new .org address. (I hope I did that correctly!) I haven’t had any problems with site loads until today, when I get the following error message – Server cannot be found.

Thanks for elaborating! The site looks to be up and running on my side. If you’re still receiving the error message, I would recommend clearing your cache as explained here:
If you’re still having trouble, can you reach out to GoDaddy? Since the site is not hosted at WordPress.com, I’m not able to see why the server might be having issues.
Lastly, since you’ve moved to a self-hosted site, would you like me to remove the custom design upgrade from your site? It’s only applicable if your site is hosted at WordPress.com, not for self-hosted sites.

Hi there! Once I cleared my cache, everything went back to normal. Thanks for the help. Per the custom design upgrade, if I remove it will I lose any design features? Great suggestion, just want to make sure it won’t alter the blog functionality or appearance in any way.

The custom design upgrade only allows you to make changes to the design of witchinkitchen.wordpress.com, which is completely separate from your self-hosted site. Any changes you make on witchinkitchen.wordpress.com wouldn’t be applied to witchininthekitchen.com. We can remove it without changing the site you have up and running (it’ll just save you $30!).

Awesome! Yes, let’s please do that. Also, I wanted to delete witchinkitchen.wordpress.com after transferring all of its content to the self-hosted site, but wasn’t sure how to do that safely. Any recommendations there?

The only thing to consider here is if anyone is still referencing your old URLs like witchinkitchen.wordpress.com/2013/2/14/my-post-title. Currently, those are redirecting to the same post on your self-hosted site. If we delete the .wordpress.com site, that won’t happen any longer.
If that’s alright with you, let me know, and I will get the site all setup for you to delete it!
