Blog not posting

Hi,
When I installed the Twenty Seventeen theme I wasn’t planning on having a blog so i deleted that page. I changed my mind and added a new Blog page.
I have set a static page and setup my Post Page as my new Blog page. When I try to publish a post I get “Publishing failed” msg.
Not sure what to do?

Hi,
The page titled “Blog” on the site is as you said set to display posts. There is one published post (with no content) titled “Blog,” dated September 4, 2018. You should be able to publish additional posts as you did that one. Have you tried publishing a post on an alternate device or a different browser?

That post was done before deleting the original Blog page. When I go into the post tag in wordpress to edit it or add a new post I always get the same msg “Publishing failed”
Not sure what the next step it. I have tried to make a new page called Blog and seeing if that would get the posts working. All it does is places that old post from the original Blog page on the new Blog page.

What do you mean by “post tag”? Are you saying that you’re also unable to edit the lone published post? That would be very odd. Why would you get a “publishing failed” notice when attempting to edit an existing post?

I forgot that WordPress.com considers an edit to be an act of publishing (in the Customizer, for example, where you “Publish” an edit) so that may not be as odd as I thought at first. However, I would expect the error when a post update failed to be something like “Post failed to update” or “Post has not been updated,” instead of the expected “Post updated” when an update is successful.

When I search for my site http://www.chinesewigscam.com all I get is the unfinished welcome page.

For what it’s worth, I’m not seeing an unfinished page when visiting your site so it looks like you may have got this sorted now.
