Blog not published!

  We created a blog, the title of which we did not like, deleted it, created a new blog called ‘miscellanyfromnaivasha’ and have published today. (status says published on the site). However we cannot find it through Google or by searching for the URL. Is there a time lag on publication?

  Do we have to create a link between the original blog, which was deleted, and the new one. WordPress will not create a brand new identity as it uses the original email address.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  What is it that you cannot find in Google? Your blog or a certain post? Does the post appear on your blog when you view it?

  If you type your URL in your searchbar, the site will come up.

  If you deleted the old blog and started a new one, then you are starting over again from scratch with the search engines. Any search engine ranking you had with the old blog was lost and it could take 6 weeks before you start showing up in Google, and 3-6 months before you start showing up higher in searches. Showing up in search engines is not instantaneous. Even after your new blog is indexed it might be several weeks before Google figures out where to put you in searches.

  Right now, “is my blog working” is showing that your new blog is NOT indexed by Google or Bing: http://ismyblogworking.com/miscellanyfromnaivasha.wordpress.com .

  You will just have to be patient, make more posts and wait for the search engines to get around to crawling your blog. By deleting the old blog and starting a new one, you have reset the clock to zero.

  A little investigation showed that your old blog that you deleted had been found by Google and had been indexed. You will just have to wait for Google to find this one. Write posts regularly, use appropriate categories and tags to help the search engines place you in searches, and wait.
