Blog not showing up

  Hi there,
  My blog isn’t showing up at all. When I try to visit the site, nothing is there. How can I fix this? Thanks for your help!

  Hi there,

  Currently, it looks like you mapped the domain kelliparkphotography.com to your blog kelliparkphotography.wordpress.com. That domain is not registered at WordPress.com. The domain mapping upgrade just helps to point your domain to your WordPress.com blog.

  It looks like your domain may be expiring. Did you fail to renew your domain at your registrar?

  In the meantime, I have set the primary domain on your account to kelliparkphotography.wordpress.com. Your blog is now loading at that domain.

  Let me know if you remember registering the domain elsewhere!

  Hi there,
  Thanks for your reply. I’m trying to make sense of everything, but it’s not really happening! Kelliparkphotography.com was working for the past year as kelliparkphotography.wordpress.com, until recently when there was a problem with the DNS I think (in December). I fixed it and now I’m not sure how long it has been down.
  Apparently Tucows Domains is my registrar, but it says domain name not found when I search on their site. Originally it was a Vistaprint site until about a year ago when I switched to WordPress.

  Is there a way I can register that domain name with WordPress instead? When I try to add it, it says that it’s already mapped to a WordPress blog. Can I unmap it and register it?

  I can’t find any record of my domain name at Tucows, so I’d really just like to have everything done through WordPress if that’s possible!

  Hi there,

  Please note that domain registration is separate from domain hosting. However, if your domain is not registered, the hosting will not work. As Jeremey stated, your domain expired with Tucows in December 2013. The status is currently set to pending delete. Once a domain expires, it goes through a nearly 90 day process in which the domain is placed in redemption and maybe sold in an auction. If it’s not purchased within this time they registrar will release it (however, the exact date is not known). Please contact the support team of your registrar (Tucows) and see if you can renew it.

  However, if you are unable to renew it I would check everyday for the release because once someone else purchases it, there’s nothing we can do. Once it is released you can purchase the domain through us – once you register through us the mapping will also be included.
