  How can I make my site visible to the public? It is not showing up to anyone other than me despite the fact that I have marked ‘public’ under privacy.

  Your front page shows a 404 error because no front page has been selected for your site. Go to Customize/Homepage settings and choose a page. Most people choose the Blog page.
