Blog not showing up in search engines
-
Hi,
I have recently discovered that none of my blog entries show up in any search engine. While I don’t have pretenses that my wisdom must be shared with the masses pronto, I would like to get it fixed and I think I found the problem. However, I don’t know how to fix it and would appreciate any pointers you could provide.
First, I have the privacy settings set to “Allow all search engines to index the site.” No problems there. When I look at the source code for the page, I see div class sharedaddy using robots-nocontent which is probably what’s causing for my entries to not appear in search engines.
How do I change that?
Thank you in advance for your help!

Putting “site:vadimgorelik.com” into Google does show 71 results –

Hmm .. interesting. I submitted my sitemap to Webmaster Tools an hour ago, and now I see the pages show up in search results. That might be what you’re seeing. Case in point – when I search for my own name, the site now does appear, but only on page 5.
You don’t think that robots-nocontent has anything to do with this?

If you have search engines to be allowed that is good – WordPress.COM does block search engines from parts of your blog having to do with Admin stuff – also you can’t change the robots.txt file anyway – one hour is I doubt long enough to make any difference – all search engines fine tune how they search so you will go up or down depending on the changes – Google made some changes last year and I got more traffic – others came here an complained about the drop –
