Blog not showing up in topics
-
I made a mistake and thought I was changing the time of the blog, but what I did was change the time the blog posted. I posted at 7:11 this morning, but the time was 21:00 on my blog so it didn’t show up with the new blogs. It fell into the pack of them that posted yesterday at 2100. By the time I figured out the error, it was 8:15 so I changed the time of the posting to 8:15. Now my blog is only showing up in satire. I don’t think it was ever seen in humor, life, Christmas, blog, blogging, decorating, Holiday or holidays. The title of the post is “How Patsy Ramsey Ruined My Life.” It is a funny post about touring their house.
Should I repost the time again and see if it shows up?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Changing timestamps and datestamps was a gaming the system trick that people liked to play previously. Staff brought that to a halt by simply making sure that only the original datestamp on the post is acknowledged. Those who did the gaming were so dull of wit that they did not get the fact that every time they change a datestampo it’s part of the URL and that means they are rewarded with a “404 (page not found). So when visitors click the link in Google’s cache that’s what they see ie. a 404 page not found.
Should I repost the time again and see if it shows up?
No.

How Patsy Ramsey Ruined My Life – is at the top of your blog – is that what you want?
Your site also loads real slow – that turns off visitors – think about using the More Tag to make your site load quicker and stop your repeat visitors from needing to load all your stuff – it also makes it easier for visitors to page down to see your articles easier –

Thanks for getting back to me. I am so bummed!
Where do I find the “more tags?” The title is fine. -

Thank you so much!
Also how do I get rid of the google 404 link? I can’t believe how stupid I was thinking that was the clock! I totally dinked myself. -
You can try using the URL removal request tool in your Google webmasters account and they may or may not choose to accommodate you. Google clears their caches every 3 – 6 months so whatever you do avoid creating 404’s. .
-
If all you do is one I doubt that there will be much penalty with Google etc. – the larger issue is that a visitor that comes to your site with and finds a 404 error tends to get upset.
-
All my subscribers got the 404 message. Can I do anything about that?? What a nightmare…
-
No you cannot do anything about this at all. What went out of the feed is history. Moving right along you can try using the URL removal request tool in your Google webmasters account and they may or may not choose to accommodate you by removing that broken link (404) from their cache. If they don’t then every time it’s clicked a 404 will will be the error message that those who click it see until Google clears their caches every 3 – 6 months so whatever you do avoid creating 404’s.
-
At the risk of suggesting you spam your subscribers – make a short Post with an apology abut the mix-up and put the correct link in –
I did that a few months ago – I goofed on the name of a knot and put “Valentine” and not the correct “Ballantine”
And then I guess chalk it up to your further education :)
-
Thanks I think I will do that! I worked so hard on that post. I can’t believe I did that to myself.

Auxclass and Timethief you really helped me today and I so appreciate that!
Have a great week!

Now what am I doing wrong? The timestamp says Jan 6, 2012 @ 6:36 but I am not seen in topics again…I didn’t see it the last time I blogged either. I am writing in Microsoft Word and copying and pasting in my blog directly. My blog is set on public and Denver time which is correct. The time stamp is set for immediate.
Do you see it anywhere?
Sorry to bother you again…..

If you have been copying and pasting text from elsewhere without using either icon 5 or icon 6 in Row 2 of the visual editor, please see here so you know how to do this correctly in the future. http://en.support.wordpress.com/visual-editor/#pasting-text
Go to Settings > Writing and select “ ___ WordPress should correct invalidly nested XHTML automatically” and then scroll down and click “Save Changes.”
Now, starting with your latest post, open it in the editor, make one minor change such as adding a space and then deleting it, and then click “Update Post.” Check your blog and see if it is back to normal.
I’m sorry but if you still cannot locate your posts in the global tag pages which are ordered by the original datestamps on posts, and you are positive that none of these global tags – missing posts reasons apply to your blog then you will have to contact Staff.

Aha! I figured it out! I have become the dreaded SPAM!! I noticed yesterday that my WordPress comments were being moderated.
I sent a message about the problem yesterday afternoon, so I am sure we will get it sorted out. What next! Hahaha!
Thank you Timethief!!
