blog now private. Do subscribers still get emails etc

  I have made my previously public blog into a private blog. Will previous subscribers still get my posts or can I remove them?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there,

  unless you make previous subscribers, “viewers” they will not be able to see your posts:

  http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/#changing-a-blog-with-followers-from-public-to-private

  Note the last line “content that you published when your site was public might still be viewable”

  Hello,

  I recently created my website/blog: http://thierrymatsaert.wordpress.com/

  I’m updating it by adding posts under the category ‘milestones’, for now saved as drafts.
  But i don’t want to spam my (few) followers with email notifications every time i publish a ‘milestone’.

  By setting my site to private, will they still receive emails?
  If so, i’d better spread my posts…
