blog of the minute

After I logged in at WordPress.com today, my site was featured as the blog of the minute. I’m wondering what that’s all about. Is that showing up for others to see when they log in? Also, how are hot posts and hot blogs picked?

It’s always a good idea prior to posting to the forum to look down at the active threads in the forum. Perhaps you will then find one like this one https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic.php?id=8450&page&replies=23
As for how top blogs and posts are determined well, that’s been asked so many times before that the threads in the forum search box are not hard to locate. Suffice to say that if all details were known there would be bloggers who would “game the system”. :)

Er, thanks time theif, but I guess if I saw something like the link you included above, I wouldn’t have a clue what that thread was about. I will look though. Sorry to waste your time.

If you read that thread for any posts on or after 4/1 you would see that the botm was changed for april fools day :) everyone is seeing their blog as botm
