Blog on an intranet?
-
Does anyone know if you can design a wordpress blog to only be viewed via an intranet site?
I want to create a blog for employees to read ongoing news but it would be too sensitive to make ‘public’ – however I don’t want every reader to have to sign up to wordpress (they never will do that).
Can you pay to have the site ring-fenced by a companies firewall?
Any ideas?
Thanks so much. The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You could do a WordPress.ORG install on your company servers.
I am not aware of any special security walls at WordPress.COM other than having a blog set to “Private” and requiring viewers to have an account here.

You can choose the visibility setting for the blog. See the privacy settings entry and note the three options you can choose. When you set your blog to private, you can add up to 35 users to your access list from Settings -> Privacy. If you are running a larger blog community, you will need to purchase the unlimited private users upgrade in order to continue adding fellow WordPress.com users.
