Blog on my ftp gets incorrect login info when i try to log in to wordpress.com

    Hi there,

I have a local blog on my ftp that is: “th0ught.net/th0ught/wordpress”

When i go to wordpress.com and try to login, it keeps giving me incorrect username and password.

I had to create a new blog through the website to post this. But how can I get my actual blog on my server to get registered with wordpress.com? I wanted to connect with other people, get exposure and such.

Thanks so much in advance for the replies

Maybe you can’t log in because th0ught.net isn’t wordpress.com and they exist on different servers apart from one another on thet internet? ;)

WordPress.com is a site for it’s own blogs that are hosted here. If you want to meet others that have their own WordPress blogs hosted elsewhere like you do, you need to be over here as per the links on your blog.

    Good luck,

I understand that, I was merely confused by the fact that when I installed my WordPress blog on my ftp, it gave me a login with the username “admin”

I’m assuming this login info does not in any way relate with wordpress.com?

The admin account is a default one. You can either edit it at Dashboard -> Users -> Your Profile or just create a second account and raise it to the admin level and then delete the old account.

That login information as well as your blog is seperate from WordPress.com. You are correct.

    Hope this helps,
