    Hello! We are planning to open up a new blog on our own server and looking for a solution. Our current address is ambkgroup.lv/apkure and our future address would be ambkgroup.lv/apkure/blogs

    we would like to open a blog with a possibility for users to add comments under our posts and also maybe some forum capabilities where users could open up their own new threads? Can you please guide us on how can we do that with wordpress? Thank you in advance!

    If you use WordPress on your own server, it will be a self-hosted WordPress site (WordPress.org). If you are interested in that option, you can download WordPress from the WordPress.org site and install it on your server. When you self-host a site, you need to take care of all the technical aspects of it (or hire a consultant to do it for you).

    On the other hand, if you choose to create a site with us, we will provide managed hosting and support, so you can focus on the content. If you host the site with us, you could use a subdomain of your main domain, for example, blogs.ambkgroup.lv or blogs-apkure.ambkgroup.lv.

    The ability to comment is a core feature of WordPress, so it will be available as soon as you create a site. To add forums you can use a plugin like bbPress. To run a forum plugin you’ll want to add the Creator plan to your site.
