Blog on wordpress SNAPS (portfolio) theme?

    I have build a portfolio on my free wordpress blog, with the theme SNAPS. I have made the projects/portfolio the main page as a static frontpage. Can I still have a blog on my site this way? I am new to WordPress, any help is apreciated! Thank you
