Blog page

Hello Fellow WordPress Users
On my WordPress website, I have a page that is just for blogigng. Nothing else. How can I lay it out, so They have the title, a few sentences, and than read more. And repeat
Just so they dont have to scroll down to find the blog they are looking for
Thanks -
1) use one of the themes that does this automatically or
2) use the More tag http://en.support.wordpress.com/splitting-content/more-tag/
-
More tags, for some reason won’t work for me. And I can’t find a good theme that can use for Photography and Blogging.
-
a) The more tag works on themes that normally display full posts on dynamic pages, not on themes that display excerpts or thumbnails.
b) Define “good” theme. -
every time i try and use more tags, it never works.
‘Good’ Means a place where I can show off my photographs in the different sub headding, and have another page, just for my random blogging

I have already answered this: the more tag doesn’t work on themes that display excerpts or thumbnails. Fontfolio displays thumbnails.

All themes allow you to create a custom top menu with links to different post categories.
So go here:
http://theme.wordpress.com/
check the theme demos, and select a theme you like. -

You’re welcome.
Another thing to note:
Categories are supposed to be the main sub-groups of your posts. There’s no point adding the same category to all your posts. The page that displays “All posts in one place” is your default posts page. So:
a) Create a new page in Pages > Add New: title it “All posts in one place”, enter no content, publish.
b) Go to Settings > Reading and select that page as your posts page.
c) Go to Posts > Categories and delete the “All posts in one place” category.
d) Go to Appearance > Menus, delete the “All posts in one place” category from your menu, add the “All posts in one place” page, save. -

Hello WordPress,
I have just created a 2nd page to my main WordPress blog and I have successfully made my first post to it.
I then try and create a second post for the page I have just created but find that it always lands on the main blog page instead of the new page I have created.
What am I doing wrong, and what is it that I need to do to correct this issue?
Thank you.
Philip Wright
