  Why do I get such gross ads displayed directly beneath my posts? Hard to display the idea of spirituality with pictures of large breasts and prostates.

  You are with a free plan. WordPress.com sometimes displays ads for free blogs. However, you can upgrade your plan to remove ads. Know details here about plans features https://wordpress.com/support/plan-features/
  
  However, everyone doesn’t see the same advertisements. They appear depending on your web browser history. :) If you come across objectionable ad on WordPress.com, you can report the ad using “Report this ad” on the bottom of the ad itself.
