Blog page has diactivated

  My site used to just be a blog and then I added other pages. When I tried to make one of these pages a new home page, my blog page, and former home page, ‘deactivated’. It now doesn’t get shown on the website at all. When I go to the backend it is listed under my pages but with a red sign next to it saying ‘not in use’. when i try reset it as my home page I get an error message.
  I don’t know what to do now. My site is predominantly a blog and now i can’t post anything :( :( :(

  Hi there,

  Click on My Sites, then click the Customize button next to Themes. Then click on Static Front Page. Next to Front Page, unselect your About page that’s currently selected there. Then select the Latest Posts option at the top and save. Now your front page will show your blog again.

  If you do want a static front page, you’ll need to create a new page to set as your posts page:
