Can someone please have a look at this for me? The main page of my blog is all over the place and totally jumbled up. Thanks

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You have a whole bunch of open tags in your posts on the main page. Not necessarily something you did, just something that can happen from time to time.

First go to settings > writing and select “WordPress should correct invalidly nested XHTML automatically” and click “save changes”.

Now, open each post on your main page for edit, change one minor thing (like adding a space and deleting it) and then click “update post.” That should straighten up the code and get things back in place. The change at settings > writing from above should also keep this from happening in the future.

One other thing I would strongly suggest is to go to settings > reading and decrease the number of post that show on you main blog page to say 3 or so. With an image intensive blog like yours, it takes way too long to load even with my 5mb connection speed, and a good number of people are still on dial up or have slow 256k DSL and those people are not likely to wait for 5 minutes or more for your blog to load. They will simply click away.

Thanks for that. I’ve changed the settings but it hasn’t made any difference.

And thanks for the tip on the number of posts. It was frustrating me waiting for them to appear. :-)

Does it have something to do with the number of columns in the theme I’m using? I tried changing to a theme with one column and that seemed to eliminate the problem although I started having other alignment problems within the post.

The other problem I’m having is with uploading of images. For example, I upload 2 images. It shows the first image with its caption. Second image is not showing up at all and the caption I have for the second image merges into the caption of the first image. Hope that makes sense.

These two problems started appearing just 2 nights ago.

Did you do as I said in the third paragraph? The setting by it self will not correct previous posts.

Ahhh…thank you. Done and fixed. I thought I only needed to edit one post and it would automatically correct them all.

Thank you for taking the time. Much appreciated!
