  Is it possible to change the name of your blog’s blog page. On my site, http://acanofwords.eu/, the posts page appears as ‘Blog’, but ideally I’d like it to read ‘News’. Or if that’s not possible, to prevent it showing in the header.

  Yes, all you need to do is create a new page called “News.” Then, under Settings -> Reading, set the Posts Page to “News.”

  However, the current theme that you are using – K2-Lite – has the “Blog” link/page built in, meaning that it cannot be changed. If you find another theme that you like, simply follow the above steps to achieve your desired results.
